We Inspire Network Radio

When we think of heroes, the likes of Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman come to mind.  However, there are heroes on this earth who have never worn a cape or jumped out of telephone booths wearing tights and fly through the air.  Some heroes are just your average ordinary people who see something wrong and try to fix it or effect change.  The Heroes Without Capes Series was created to take a moment to applaud those people who otherwise would go unrecognized. Hats off to you all.

Heather J. Kirk is a contributing author to the anthology, Chicken Soup for the Latino Soul, co-edited by Jack Canfield, Mark Victor Hansen and Susan Sanchez-Casal.

         Arizona news anchor Catherine Anaya interviewed Ms. Heather J. Kirk, both for a TV news segment and for the above article in Latino Perspectives Magazine (September 2005). Ms. Kirk wrote a true story titled "Alma/My Soul," about a Tarahuamara girl she befriended in Copper Canyon (Barranca del Cobre), Mexico.
